Well-being in a room is one of the most important ingredients for successful working, enjoying or socializing. Two essential aspects of this are good lighting and good acoustics. Studies show that a quiet environment, especially in a professional setting, has a significant impact on increasing productivity and well-being. Too much noise can even be detrimental to health, causing stress, high heart rates and increased blood pressure.
Sound behaves like other energy sources and 'travels' through space. When a sound wave hits a surface in a room, such as a wall, some of the sound is reflected and returned to the room and some is absorbed, depending on the nature of the surface. The higher the absorption coefficient of a material, the better it helps optimize the acoustics in the room.
Sound diffusion refers to the degree of 'dispersion' of sound waves in a room. Those sound waves that are not absorbed by surfaces therefore travel in different directions through the room, creating unpleasant noise. The aim is to achieve the lowest possible diffusion values. To prevent this, acoustic ceiling sails with integrated lighting can be placed directly above noise sources, such as workstations or meeting tables

JUST BLACK ACOUSTIC
The Just Black Acoustic product family stands for uncompromising design clarity and outstanding acoustic properties. The minimalist black track with flexible inserts blends harmoniously with the acoustic elements, which are available in both round and square versions. The luminaires are ideal for environments that require both optimum lighting quality and improved acoustics to create a balanced and pleasant indoor environment.
UNITY
The UNITY product family is characterised by its modular design, which allows it to be customised to suit a wide range of interior designs. With a wide range of specially designed optics, UNITY provides optimum lighting in different scenarios - from concentrated work areas to relaxing lounges. At the same time, its acoustically effective elements reduce disruptive noise, contributing to a pleasant and productive working environment.
ACOUSTIC
The Acoustic range is based on the popular GLORIOUS range, with the addition of acoustic elements. The collection includes round, triangular and rectangular acoustic panels, which have been integrated into the GLORIOUS luminaires as a stylish addition, combining light and sound comfort in one design. These panels are not only perfectly matched to the GLORIOUS range, but are also available as stand-alone elements - with or without indirect lighting.
OUR FIRST MODULAR SYSTEM FOR ACOUSTIC LIGHTING
UNITY is our first acoustic profile system. This acoustic product family now enjoys the same design freedom as our proven, flexible, customisable profile systems. The modules are seamlessly connected using modular elements such as Y, X, T, L and straight connectors to create unique nodes and light structures.
UNITY also features advanced acoustic and lighting technology. The acoustic technology reduces disturbing noise and creates a pleasant, quiet atmosphere, while the lighting technology provides perfect illumination.

THE PRODUCTION
Since 2023, we at PROLICHT have had a machine that allows us to precisely process and cut the acoustic material directly in our production facility in Götzens, Austria. This allows us to respond more quickly and efficiently to individual customer requests and to develop bespoke solutions that are perfectly tailored to meet individual requirements.
