Laboratory

The PROLICHT Laboratory is where we push the boundaries of architectural lighting — testing materials, light quality, and technical systems before they ever reach a project. It's where we question the known, so you don't have to.

LMK Mobile

LMK Mobile

The image-resolving LMK mobile luminance measuring camera from technoteam measures luminance distributions of luminaires, light-emitting surfaces, illuminated surfaces, workplace situations, etc. as a basis for optical optimization, glare assessment or quality monitoring.
Spectrophotometer

Spectrophotometer

Our spectrophotometer measures spectral radiance distributions of light sources and luminaires in the wavelength range from 350 - 1000 nm with a resolution of 1 nm.

Measured variables can be output:

Luminance (cd/m²), illuminance (lx) or irradiance (W/m²)
Color coordinates x, y or u',v'
Dominant wavelength, color purity
correlated color temperature (CCT)
Color rendering CRI, CQS, TLCI or TM-30
Circadian parameters
Photosynthetically active radiation (PAR)
Goniophotometer

Goniophotometer

Our near-field goniophotometer from technoteam Ilmenau measures luminous intensity distributions of luminaires up to 1500mm in length. It is a type C goniophotometer in accordance with LM 79, i.e. the luminaire is in the operating position and is not moved during the measurement. The photometer head is guided around the luminaire on two axes in accordance with CIE 084 1989 and EN 13032-1.

Output formats are LDT or IES. In addition, beam data from light sources can be generated and absolute luminous fluxes from light sources can be measured.
Measuring Luminance
Measuring Luminance

Measuring Luminance

The evaluation of the luminance distribution on surfaces allows the determination of brightness level and homogeneity criteria of the calculation of surface illuminances under defined reflectance situation.

Absolute values - of requirements for minimum and maximum luminance thresholds acc. EN 13201.
Brightness dynamic and contrast ratios - on public spaces.
Luminance distribution - visibility, determination of ergonomic and safety aspects of public ifrastructure and worksplaces.
Luminance uniformity - lightning appearance and visual comfort, homogeneity on large luminous boards, walls, floors, ceiling and desks.
